after some world-class procrastination for the last two months (though i prefer the term "percolation") i ran up against a deadline today, and decided to confront it with a 24-hour poem free-for-all! i managed to bang out, well, 24 poems in 24 hours, the (rather nasty) results you can see here. (not to be confused with 24hourpoemS) . and yes, all on the topic of love, which was a bit of a bother. feel free to comment, i'll leave it up for a week, afte rwhich

corrie tan from the straits times has stolen my reviewginity!
she awarded me 3.5/5 stars! :D (democracy, peace, a bit of progress, without equality and justice) "...his work picks and prods at the seams of Singaporean-ness, not always effectively, but with a blend of cheerfulness and cynicism that is difficult to resist." she also makes an interesting case for creative writing within the inherently restrictive nature of the sonnet form being a metaphor for "the many liberties we still manage to take within the unbending structure of our country". not from my lips! |
ama singaporean poet with an unhealthy addiction to forms. buy
